Vermont has always held a special place in our hearts – and as the most important people in our lives, many of you have your own memories of this place. Maybe you’re part of a long line of Vermonters, or you called this place home for a few years, maybe you spent weekends skiing at Bromley or Stratton, or you went to camp here. Each of us has our own connection to this place we love so much, which makes celebrating here even more meaningful. Vermont is our place and you are our people – we couldn’t imagine starting this next chapter anywhere else or with anyone else.
Thank you for being part of our big day.
We are beyond grateful to be celebrating our wedding with our favorite people in this place we love so much. We appreciate you coming from near and far to be with us – some of you are braving quite the journey to get here! Your presence is truly the greatest gift, but for those who would like, we have put together a registry with items to help us begin this next chapter of our lives.
Vermont has a lot of offer. In between our welcome party and the ceremony, try out some of our favorite places.
We know this is a big trip with a lot of logistics, so we’ve added some information below to answer questions you may have!
If you’re flying to the East Coast, we recommend flying into Albany International Airport. From there your options include renting a car for the 1.5hr drive up to the Stratton/Magic area.

From Albany: 1.5hrs
From Boston: 2.5hrs
From NYC: 4hrs

There are plenty of hotels and Airbnbs to pick from in the area. We have reserved a block of rooms at the Black Bear Lodge at Stratton Mountain for our guests. If you’d like to take advantage of the reserved rooms, please book before May 1st.
The day of the wedding, a shuttle will be available to take guests to and from the Black Bear Lodge to the venue.
If you’re interested in sharing a condo/airbnb with other guests, please reach out to Maddy (madelineschumacher13@gmail.com).
Bold & Colorful! We’re celebrating in vibrant style and encourage you to do the same. Think patterns, prints, and punchy colors. Suits are required (and fun colored shirts encouraged), but don’t feel confined to traditional wedding wear. Bring personality to your outfit – whether that’s a bold floral pattern, your favorite statement piece, or a unique bolo tie.
The Ceremony will start promptly at 4pm. We ask all guests to arrive between 3:15 and 3:30
While we adore the little ones in our lives, we have chosen to host an adults-only celebration. We hope you understand and to make things a little easier for those traveling with kids, we’ve compiled a list of reputable local childcare providers that we’re happy to share with you.
